"It is hard to fail, but it is worse to have never have tried to succeed." - Theodore Roosevelt

This quote said by Theodore Roosevelt fits Kite Runner because Amir, the main character, wants to be like his father, Baba, in so many ways but he is faced with the problem of fear and doubt. Him and his brother like friend, Hassan, go through their childhoods together and deal with kite fighting, winters in Afganistan, and stories.

Family, Friends, and Home play a big role in The Kite Runner. They are all motifs that help the story move along and make up what the whole story and journey Amir goes through.
